Why did you initially start triathlon?
I wanted to do something that people would call me crazy for doing. Triathlon was the perfect fit.

March Triathlon Series and Wildflower are tied for first
What is your best leg of the triathlon?
The bike. It’s very satisfying to pass people whose rear wheel cost more than my bike.
What inspires you to train?
All the awesome people I get to see, have fun with, and suffer with at practice everyday.
What are some of your goals for the 2012 race season?
Survive Wildflower Long Course.
Why did you decide to join the Cal Poly Triathlon team?
One day I saw all these really really good looking people in tight spandex riding bikes. I decided I wanted to be really really good looking in tight spandex too. It just so happened those people were the Cal Poly Triathlon Team.
Most memorable race experience?
Finishing Wildflower Olympic last year after only 4 months of training.
What is your favorite part about racing MTS?
We have the best setting and the most well organized race out of all of the colleges in California. Also, Coach Dave yelling at me like a madman to go faster.
What motivates you during a race?
The crowd, friends, and family cheering you on. Especially, all the insanely loud Cal Poly volunteers at Wildflower.
Favorite CPtri moment
Shenanigans at Wildflower Retreat…you know who are haha. Getting last place at my first swim time trial and coming back 7 months later and smashing it by 4 minutes.
What is your favorite part about being on the team?
Meeting and being friends such great people that helped me tremendously through a difficult time in my life even though they didn’t know it till now. I love you all!
Will you be racing MTS this year?
Unfortunately no, but instead I have been busy getting all our awesome sponsors for MTS 2012 with my extremely good looking partner in crime Ellie Gertler. Look forward to some great prizes!
